Take a SHOT!

I am SO EXCITED!

I FINALLY was able to get my stuff back from Idaho.

(HUGE THANK YOU to Bethany for keeping it for me, and to Alicia & Dave for bringing it to me!)

Going through it has been so amazing! It has been stored for 4.5 years. Many times I thought that I should just have Bethany donate or something. Can I just say, I am SO GLAD I didn't!

I started going through them tonight. As I was going through the one containing kitchen stuff I found a small Tupperware box filled with tissue paper. I said to Sarah "oh, these must be my shot glasses!" she asked what I would need shot glasses for... and i said "Soda Shots"

As I opened the first roll of tissue paper, I saw this glass filled with papers... and I remembered what these shot glasses were for...

In March/April of 2006 I had turned in my papers and was awaiting my mission call!

My roommate Christine was also waiting for hers!

On top of our TV we put up a sign that said (something like), "Take A Shot At Where We Will Serve!" and there was a shot glass with each of our names!

 This is my SHOT glass!

It was so fun to sit and look through all of those little pieces of paper... especially those with the name of a friend who had made that guess! No one was right, and no one was even close!

Ronald McDonald

Ronald McDonald came to ... well, McDonalds today to celebrate their 1 year anniversary in the new building. 

Andrew was really excited and wanted to take Amelia over to meet him!

He was at a table across from us... he talked to Amelia for a few minutes from there. She just stared at him. I kind of wonder what she was thinking!

 He was REALLY nice.

So... I decided to take her over there to meet him. 

SHE WAS NOT HAVING IT.

She totally flipped out and EVERYONE in McDonalds was staring at us.

 So, we tricked her into getting a picture with him!

All Ronald McDonald's idea!

 A few minutes later Papa decided he would try and take her....

and she was TOTALLY FINE!

 Ronald McDonald, Amelia, and Santa Clause!

 We even got a smile!

How many children can say they have a picture with 

the REAL Ronald McDonald and the REAL Santa Clause!!!

 They made quick friends!

6 Month Fail

I FAILED.... never did her 6 month post. 

REALLY?!?! My baby is a half a year old, and I didn't post it.

Oh well... here are some pictures of what she was up too...

 She LOVES books! Any book! (especially the hymn book)

I can't believe you are 6 months old! 

They have been the BEST 6 months of our lives!

We were up at Sarah's checking on their new addition when Amelia decided to do something SPECTACULAR!!!

 She got so excited and started squealing! 

"...but Mommy put me to far away!"

"...maybe if i just scoot my bummie I can get there myself!"

 "SUCCESS!!! ... now i should pull myself up!"

 (i don't know if you can tell, but her bummie is NOT on the floor!)

Tooth # 4 & Tooth #5 ....AND #6!

Oh Yeah... we have LOTS of teeth!

#4 and #5 are in, and #6 is coming close behind!

3 teeth in the month of January... not to bad!

Crossover Pinafore

EEEEEK!!! I am totally in LOVE with this kid!! 

She was my little helper as I was pretending to be crafty this morning!

She played so nice as I cut out the pattern!

 I found this cute blog. Called Smashed Peas and Carrots. She has some REALLY CUTE things, such as this Crossover Pinafore for little girls!

You can print the pattern right off her blog and get to work! 

I found cute fabric at JoAnns on sale for $2.50/yard!!!

Tooth #3!

We have had a LOT more of this going on lately! 

As well as a slight temp (between 99.5 and 100) and a runny nose.

 What could that possibly be I wonder???!!!

 Oh yeah, that's ANOTHER TOOTH!!!

 Why hello tooth #3! I can't believe you came so soon!

On Monday, March 5, 2011.... just one day after Amelia's 5 month birthday tooth #3 broke through the skin! I can't believe it! And it is not even one that I would have expected to come in next!

I have a feeling that tooth #4 is not far behind... if you look closely at the opposite tooth, it looks like it is right close to coming through as well!

We are going to have a MOUTH FULL before 6 months!

5 Months!!

Forgive me... this post is a week overdue. Things have just been so busy with our little jumping bean!

Miss Amelia is officially 5 months old!

Here is a peek back at the day she was born!

How did we go from there to here in just 5 short months??

Amelia is such a sweet little girl! She is generally so smiley! Even though this month she did get a double ear infection and bronchiolitis. Which was all very scary. She was on Augmentin, but just threw up every does we gave her and had massive diarrhea.

 Amelia tried her first bites of rice cereal this past month. Now she is getting "real baby food" ... but that was ON her "5 Month Old Day" ... so will be included in a different post! :)

 This bouncer is her all time favorite toy! It often buys Mommy a few minutes to get ready, do dishes, or throw in a load of laundry. She has found this mirror and loves to look into it and make faces! She will often look at me like "did you see that!?"

 Amelia also got her ears pierced. That was hard on us both, but she did so well! They are so pretty!

 Amelia had her 1st Snow Day! Church was cancelled and she was all dressed up with no where to go! I just love getting her all dressed up... and she tolerates me! We have a good time, and she often smiles once we get a new outfit on! She must think I am crazy!

 She sure loves her Daddy!

 Amelia is getting pretty crazy in her little bath tub! This is the last one she will ever have on the living room floor! Notice the splashes, the SOAKING wet towel, and my pants! She LOVES to splash and has a great time in the tub!

 Daddy had surgery this month, and Amelia kept him company! Sometimes they would sit on the couch like this (Andrew really was not supposed to lift her). They would just sit and smile and chat! I love to see them interact!

 She can also sit up by herself for short periods of time!

 Amelia got to go and see her 1st movie in the theater! We saw The Lorax and it was SO CUTE! She loved all the colors and the music! She spent most of the time jumping on Mu's lap!

 My beautiful girl! So big!

 She LOVES her toes... and is still teething... so this is often her position if she is laying down! One hand in her mouth, the other playing with her toes!

Happy 5 Month Old Day Amelia!!!
