We are MOVING!

Yes, it is true. Andrew and I are moving! We are renting an apartment here in Geneva. We are really excited to once again be out on our own. For those who didn't know, we have been living with my amazing parents for the last 3 months. They have been so good to us, especially in letting us live with them and save up some money. Thank you! I have really enjoyed being home again!

Andrew has been ready to get back in an apartment for a while now. So I surprised him with an appointment to go and look at an apartment. We went over last Thursday and looked at an apartment. It was nice, but we had previously decided we were NOT going to take an apartment that day. Anyway, then she showed us the one across the hall. As soon as we walked in the door we both just felt like it was ours! Now what do we do? We wanted to be firm in the decision that we had previously made, but at the same time could not deny the feelings we had.

She had another girl who wanted to look at the apartment after us, so we kind of had to decide. We sat in the car and talked about it, called my dad for advice, and prayed about it. When the manager came back, she and the other girl went into the office. When she left, we went up and asked her if it was still available. She said yes (apparently she knew we wanted it, so she only showed the girl the first one)! SO, we signed the dotted line... it is ours!

Now for the best part of the story. The apartment that we will be living in was my parents apartment when they first got married! Isn't that awesome! THEN when we were over at Sarah & Chris' house the other day Chris (my bro-inlaw) told us that HE had lived there too, with his mother, and that later on his father had lived there too! Isn't that crazy!

None the less, we are very happy and excited to be moving into our new apartment!

18. Where did you honeymoon: We didn't. We spent the night in the Palmyra Inn. It was beautiful!

Carnival

Today there was a little carnival at Zoto's after their annual sale. Of course we took Sophie! Here are some pictures of the fun we had! First we had lunch. I am pretty sure it was the best hot dog I have ever had! Sophie liked hers too!

Sophie got to meet a HUGE pig named Licorice.

Then we did some carnival activities. This was fishing! She got the little flower neclace in my hand.She also got a ladybug painted on her arm!

We did lots of other activities. Sophie won about every prize there was. Even the cake walk! She is SO cute & we had SO much fun!

Sophie's 1st Sleepover!

Last night Sophie had her 1st "Sleepover Party" at our house!

Sarah dropped her off a little before bedtime all ready in her PJs!

After Mommy left Sophie brushed her teeth and we went to bed for some stories and snuggles. She is the best snuggler!

Here we are reading a story before bed. This one happened to be The Very Hungry Catipillar.

Then she fell fast asleep. ... well... after i convinced Andrew that he had to turn off the computer screen!

In the morning she wanted to wake up Andrew... here is how that went!

Then we had another little snuggle! Man she wakes up happy!

Then she got all ready, and we met Mommy at church!

I was so proud of Sophie! She did so well at her first sleepover! She didn't cry, not once!

The best part of the night came around 3:00 am. Sophie woke up and said, "Who is in here?"

I said, "That is Uncle Andrew."

Sophie, "He snores like daddy!"

Me, "I know, did he wake you up?"

Sophie, "I'm fine. Who are you?"

Me, "I'm Zanne, we are having a sleepover party!"

Sophie snuggles right back up, and fell right back to sleep!

A Day at the Park!

On Friday Sarah had an appointment in Rochester, so Mom & I took the afternoon off from work to watch Sophie. She is so much fun!

She took a nap from 1:30 until 4:00, so that was a chunk of the day. When she woke up, Mom and I took her to the West Street School Playground! We all had a ton of fun! They playground there is really nice... it has changed a lot since my days there... with the old wood equipment and the rock ground. They have very colorful nice equipment now, with a squishy rubber ground. I am sure it makes the falls not so bad! Anyway... I needed a moment to reminisce.

I picked up Andrew from work and brought him to the playground too... a picture of us... it is the only way to get my face on our blog!

Happy Easter

Happy Easter!

Yesterday was our 1st Easter together! I love firsts! I love learning about all the ways in which our traditions are the same, and how they are different! It is so much fun. Everyday is a new adventure and I love Andrew more and more every day!

These are the beautiful flowers Sarah gave to my parents for Easter!

The bunny was in our Easter Basket! I got it from a cute little store in Waterloo called Mary Ann's handmade crafts! It was an awesome store with a lot of cute little (and BIG) crafts!

Uncle Joe stopped by to drop off some Easter treats for Sophie!

She was excited and gave Uncle Joe a Big Hug to say "Thank You!"

At 6:30 we had all 8 of the Fayette Ward missionaries over for Easter dinner! That took some serious preparation (thank you mom)! I think we collected every chair in the house and just had enough! Here is everyone. Jay also came. It is always nice to have him come!

Mom and I made each of the missionaries a card and there was a little Easter "bucket" for each companionship! I hope they liked them!

Sarah, Chris, and Sophie came over a little later on and we ended our Easter evening visiting with them!

I have an awesome family, I really do!

Easter Egg Hunt

This morning we went to an Easter Egg Hunt at a park in Waterloo.

It was very chilly out, but we had a blast!

Sophie was SO cute!!

She found an egg ............. picked it up .............and put it in her basket!

She found 4 eggs! Good job!

Then she got a piggy back ride back to the car!

GIRLS NIGHT

Last night we had a GIRLS NIGHT while Dad & Andrew went to the 

Priesthood Session of General Conference.

We decided to go to Friendly's and have some ice cream!

mmm... so we all got the 5 scooper!

Yes, she ate the WHOLE thing!!!

She gave her cherry to Sophie!

Easter Eggs!

Before Conference we decided to do Easter Eggs. 

Mom & Sarah had gotten some kits at Michael's a month or so ago and were

really excited to get to use them! 

I guess Sophie was pretty excited too. I hear she was up at 3:30 in the morning ready to go!

I wanted to be able to save them, so we blew some, and hard boiled some.

Andrew had never blown eggs before. I am really sad that I don't have any pictures of that!

ahhhh... pure fun!

Sophie really enjoyed the process! She dipped some in the cups to color them.

Then she got to do some of Mommy's 24 "carrot" gold eggs.

She was very careful and did a BEAUTIFUL job!

Sarah's also turned out REALLY nice. She made some really beautiful colors 

with the kit that she got. You can kind of see the green and blue ones 

that she was working on here.

Here is one that I made. I used the 24 "carrot" gold kit that Sarah got.

It looks better in person... I think it turned out all right.

Anyway, we had a wonderful time!

It is always nice to be with family!

... A really cool apron! And now I have one thanks to my 

amazing sister-in-law Sheila!

She is SO talented! She made this for me. It is also reversable... wow!
