Brennen's Blessing

We went down to Canisteo this weekend for the blessing of our new nephew Brennen Dupuis. I am really glad we were able to make it!

We went down Saturday night and just hung out with the family.

Sunday morning was eventful... on the way to church we got into a little car accident. Everyone is fine. I am SO GLAD that Rob was driving (not only because it was THEIR car... lol), but becasue I am pretty sure that had anyone else been driving things would not have turned out as well as they did. Actually, there really was not much damage to the car at all... the bumper came off, but they were able to get it back on. It was a miracle... really.

Here is the car... they were able to fix it up like new!

Anyway:
During sacrament meeting Brennen was blessed!

After chruch there was a little linger longer in their branch, so we stayed for that. Then we went back to Andrew's parents and played with the kids until we left at 5:00.

Date Night

So, last night we had an awesome "date night" with a couple of friends from the ward. We decided to do dinner and bowling. Matt & Rachel had never been to Ling Lings so we decided to go there. Then we went bowling here in Geneva. We had a blast.

  We are so excited to have such great friends who we are able to do things with! Here are just a few pictures from our evening of fun...

Happy Birthday Sarah & Andrew

So, because Sarah's birthday is March 10th & Andrew's is March 16th we had a joined party with them... party meaning cake & ice cream with Aunt Lynda & Uncle Joe!

We had an amazing dinner, then cake/ice cream, & presents!

Ok, so we ran out of birthday candles... emergency ones will do... :)

Fun Times!

Ok, Andew got one of the coolest presents EVER from my parents!!

I am sure you have all seen the You Tube videos where you put Mentos in soda and it explodes. Well, apparently they make this cool tube that makes the soda shoot like 25 feet into the air. Who could resist such a purchase?? NOT US!

Last night Andrew & I went over to Sarah & Chris' and brought it with us. 

attempt #1: A complete failure. 

We forgot to put the top back on.. the one with the hole in it that makes it shoot into the air. So we got this little "geyser".

Intermission: Andrew had to run to the store and buy more soda... and mentos.

Andrew's B-Day... AGAIN!

See... I told you there would be more...

Andrew wanted to go to Ling Ling's for dinner on his birthday... so naturally we did!

It is tradition in our house that the birthday person gets to choose dinner. I was really happy with his choice because I love Ling Lings!

Anyway, we had a wonderful time. We wish that Chris, and Jamie & Stephanie could have been there! Oh well!

The picture above is when Andrew began to open presents... (yes, we took presents into the resturant). Anyway, that is the card i made for Andrew... I didn't really like it, but it was sufficient in a pinch!

I just don't know about this picture to the left. Mon and Dad are crazy! Mom looks shocked for some reason! Dad... I guess I didn't sat "cheese" loud enough :)

Ok... so his birthday is not until tomorrow, but we started the festivities today. Some of Andrew's family came up to help celebrate! It was so nice to have them here!

They met us at church this morning then came back to my parents house for a yummy lunch and cake & ice cream!

Girl's Day!

Yippy! On Saturday we had a girl's day! Just Mom, Sarah, Sophie, & I! We went up to the Rochester area and went shopping, then had an awesome lunch at the Olive Garden! Mmmm! Then more shopping!

Sophie looked SO CUTE!

We did another Build-A-Bear! She loves it!

Ok! So, this was the #1 best moment of our "Girl's Day"! So, we were picking out clothes for Sophie's Monkey (names Nequa). My mom picks up these little boy underpants and says, "CUTE! They even have a little fly!!" I started laughing hysterically and said, "mom, I think that is for the tail!!!" Oh, it was SO funny! We were laughing so hard everyone was looking at us! It was SO funny!

It was a long day of shopping, but we had a blast! Man, I wish this was me! She just looked so sweet, i couldn't help but snap one more shot!

I suck...

OK... I officially suck. Yes, it is true...I am a crappy blogger. I wish I could be better... I need someone to e-mail me and remind me on a daily/weekly basis.
An update on Andrew and I.

So Saturday was pretty cool. Andrew really wanted buy bikes and go for a bike ride. Sarah offered for us to borrow their bikes. THANK YOU! We went and goot a bike rack for the car and laoaded them up! We went down to Seneca Lake State Park and went for a 4 mile bike ride. We are SO out of shape. By the way... they just don't make bike seats like they used to. OUCH! My bottom is STILL hurting. It was fun though and so nice to just be with Andrew.

After our little bike ride we went to the mall with Sarah, Sophie, and my mom. Fun times... spent way to much money. Andrew's birthday is just around the corner, so I spoiled him a little. He got a few new shirts and a hooded sweatshirt. We stopped and got Sophie a new book at BORDERS... it is called Caterpiller to Butterfly. SO CUTE! It is a board book!

We got back around 7:30 and went out to dinner with some friends of ours, Matt & Rachel. We jsut met up at Friendly's. I had an amazing Oriental Chicken Salad and a happy ending sunday... Peanutbutter Cup ice cream, with peanutbutter, a peanutbutter cup, whiped cream, and a cherry!! mmmm! I was in the mood for peanutbutter... what can I say!?!

So, that was saturday!!

Terrible

Argh. I am so terrible at this blogging thing! So much has been happening since my last post. Andrew and I were married on December 13! It was BEAUTIFUL! I still cannot believe we are married, and not just married, but sealed for time AND eternity. What comfort thins brings to me!
After the wedding we had a little bit of a "honeymoon" if you can call it that. We spent that night at the Palmyra Inn. What a beautiful hotel located right close to the Palmyra Temple where we were married. Jamie and Stephanie were in town and wanted to spend time with them, so most of our weekend was spent with family (which was just the way I liked it!) Anyway, we spent Sunday night at the Holiday Inn in Seneca Falls. This was a wonderful wedding gift from the Masino/Hausers! The hotel was so good to us. (Thank you again!!)
Then we moved into our first apartment. It was the Rose Apartments in Alfred, NY. It was nice to start our life together in our OWN home! I spent a lot of time there decorating and making it ours! Andrew spent a lot of time at work, as he was working 2 jobs at the time. I hope to post some pictures of our apartment here soon.
None the less things didn't work out the way that we would have liked them too, and we ended up deciding not to stay in Alfred. We came home... to Geneva and our now living with my parents (while still paying for our apartment in Alfred...long story)... It has been nice to be here. I love to be around family. It also brings its own challenges trying to be a newly wed couple and living at home. My parents are so good to us and really respect our space when we want/need it.
Anyway, that is a little update. Time for dinner ... Andrew made Greek wraps!! I am SO excited!
